This blog is currently a Wordpress.com blog. There are many alternatives to wordpress. Your choices are dependent upon budget, time, expertise and depth of customization you require. I've seem some make a quick and simple transition to Google+ or Instagram (now part of Facebook) and others wanting full featured choices. Here is a good overall comparison of the top blogging platform options. http://startbloggingonline.com/blog-platform-comparison-chart/
If spam is you primary issue, you may want to add the AAskimet plug-in (assuming you're using Wordpress.org) which will reduce your spam volume significantly.

Hello there! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site?
I'm getting sick and tired of Wordpress because I've had problems with hackers and I'm looking at alternatives for another platform.
I would be awesome if you could point me in
the direction of a good platform.
