Plan Set Navigation Grid

Some General Contractors are looking at large plan sets with over 1000 pages and wanting to see the context of multiple areas in one view. By creating a composite, while not officially used for “construction” the context along with markups can improve coordination and communication. As technology continues to progress, breaking projects into 100 plus sheets may no longer be necessary. Zoom, pan and navigation in the electronic document world is changing the construction industry. Architects may soon feel comfortable sharing these composites and industry leaders may rewrite the requirements for plan sets.
